About me

I am an adviser for fine art collectors and a chartered appraiser for art and antiques. I give my clients expert advice on building, growing, valuing and managing their collections, with a special focus on Catalan and Spanish Old Master paintings and sculptures.

Education, expertise, internacional contacts, results, discretion and confidence at my client’s service.

Expertise in Old Master

My speciality is in Catalan and Spanish Old Master's paintings and sculptures (from 13th to 19th century). Among others, I have dealt with works by Joan Reixach, Luis Meléndez, Juan Bautista Maíno and Bartolomeo Cavarozzi. Occasional new discoveries have found their home in a public collection – for example my discovery of an oil painting by the Catalan Nazarene painter Pelegrí Clavé, now at the Museu d'Art de Girona.

At my client's service

I act solely on my client's behalf, independent of any dealer or auction house, and handle matters with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. My guiding principles are loyalty, resourcefulness, and commitment.

International scope

My working languages are: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian and German. I regularly travel to the world's art market capitals (London, New York, Paris, Maastricht, Madrid and Munich). I can therefore offer my clients a network of local and international contacts.

Auctions and fairs

I represent my clients in international auctions and fairs (Maastricht TEFAF, Masterpiece London, Biennale des Antiquaires Paris, among others).

Appraisals, insurance and other services.

Other related services I can provide are appraisals of a single work or a whole collection, insurance, legal and tax advice, import and export licences and framing services.

Education

Born in Barcelona in 1977, my education includes a Law Degree, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona); a Postgraduate Diploma in History of Art, Courtauld Institute, (London); a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies, IDEC – Museu Picasso, (Barcelona); and a course on "Art and Its Markets", Sotheby's Institute (London).
